Therapy for anxiety in New York State
Do you find yourself stuck in cycles of overthinking or panic?
Let’s be real — you’re carrying the weight of high expectations, from the world around you and from yourself. On the outside, you may be thriving — accomplished, dependable, always pushing forward — but inside, anxiety can show up as constant overthinking, self-doubt, or a persistent sense of being on edge.
These feelings may be rooted in experiences of discrimination, the pressure of showing up fully as a Black queer professional in spaces that weren’t built with you in mind, or past wounds that still quietly shape how you see yourself and the world.
Through EMDR and somatic therapy, I offer a compassionate space to gently explore the roots of your anxiety — and support you in reconnecting with your strength, calm, and inner clarity.
You might be experiencing:
Struggles with self-doubt or perfectionism that fuel anxiety
A constant sense of tension, restlessness, or being on edge
Persistent worry or racing thoughts that are hard to quiet
Feeling overwhelmed by daily life, even when things “seem fine” on the outside
You’re ready to feel more ease — to handle life without spiraling.
How therapy works
You can learn to experience more ease and peace everyday.
I prioritize creating a safe an authentic space where we work together to gently explore the root causes of your anxiety. Using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), we can help your brain process difficult memories and reduce the intensity of anxious feelings that may be stuck beneath the surface. This approach allows healing to happen without having to relive trauma in a way that feels overwhelming.
Alongside EMDR, somatic therapy helps you reconnect with your body’s wisdom. Anxiety often shows up physically—through tightness, tension, or restlessness—and somatic techniques teach you how to notice and release these sensations. Together, these therapies create a safe, supportive space for you to build resilience, regain calm, and move toward greater balance in your life.
